2006 National Schools of Character Publication

2006 National Schools of Character: Award-Winning Practices, Vol. 8

The Character Education Partnership’s annual publication, National Schools of Character: Award-Winning Practices, showcases the 10 schools named 2006 National Schools of Character. The winning schools all demonstrate outstanding character education initiatives that yield positive results in student behavior, citizenship, school climate, and academic performance. And although each school varies in its philosophy and implementation, they all exemplify the Eleven Principles of Effective Character Education, CEP’s framework for effective practice. The publication provides ideas for schools and districts seeking to improve their initiatives. Reproducible pages from the winners are a practical feature of the book, and replicable ideas from the eight Finalists are also included. Also included is a CD-ROM which is in full color, containing all the pages from the 2006 National Schools of Character book. All website address (for schools/districts, organizations, and resources) given on the CD_ROM are internet linked.
