2007 State Award Winners

In 2007, sponsors from California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and Utah joined New Jersey in sponsoring State Schools of Character (SSOC) competitions. In some states, the nominee for the National Schools of Character (NSOC) award was their only SSOC; other states selected more than one SSOC. Most sponsors also gave other awards like Finalist, Honorable Mention, and Emerging School of Character. Seven of the 2007 NSOC winners are from participating SSOC states, and seven of the 15 finalists are also from SSOC states.
