The
2010 National and State Schools of Character application guidelines are now available on CEP’s website. This year the national and state guidelines are one document. If you are from a state participating in the State Schools of Character (SSOC) awards program, you will find information about your state sponsor and where to send your application on the last page of the guidelines. If you are from a non-participating state, you will send your application directly to CEP. We urge schools or districts (K–12) that have outstanding character education initiatives to apply for the NSOC and SSOC awards. Both state and national winners receive recognition and become models for other educators. Winners of the national award receive a grant to help them mentor other schools or districts. All applicants receive useful feedback on their application.
