This practice is a four year “differentiated journey” leading students toward the pursuit of academic excellence, service and enrichment by connecting character with the classroom. These highly motivated students, begin the application process toward the end of eighth grade. Required to take an advanced placement class each year, they begin their journey with AP World History as freshmen, AP English Language as sophomores and AP Statistics as juniors. Their academic experience culminates in senior year with an honors level research seminar designed to reflect their individual interests as developed over the course of the program. Throughout the program, these students are exposed to a variety of academic experiences based upon their subject area interests. Partaking in seminars, field trips, and other academic forums, students are exposed to a variety of content areas and specialties. The students’ talents are used to connect what they have learned to the community. This learning community has given these students unparalleled experiences which make them extremely desirable candidates for the finest colleges in the nation.
