Volunteering
The Forum wouldn’t be possible without the help of dedicated volunteers. Please see below for more information on what it means to volunteer and how to apply.

Volunteer Responsibilities at the Forum

Each volunteer is responsible for facilitating two sessions, to be determined in advance of the conference. Volunteers must attend their two assigned sessions; outside of these assigned sessions, volunteers are free to attend any other conference events and sessions.

Volunteer facilitators are responsible for greeting presenters before their assigned sessions and ensuring that everything is in order for the session to begin. Responsibilities also include:

  • Distributing and collecting session evaluation forms to participants
  • Monitoring crowds. If a session is full, ask those who want to enter to please go to a second choice session.
  • Counting attendees
  • Delivering a gift from CEP to each presenter in your sessions
  • Completing a volunteer survey

Upon arrival at conference, volunteers pick up their two session packets and speaker gifts at the registration desk. These packets will contain a memo that explains volunteer duties more in more detail as well as all of the materials needed to facilitate.

Volunteers must return session packets and all evaluations to the registration desk during conference hours.
