The Character Education Partnership’s annual publication, National Schools of Character: Award-Winning Practices, showcases the ten schools and one district named 2008 National Schools of Character. The winning schools all demonstrate outstanding character education initiatives that yield positive results in student behavior, citizenship, school climate, and academic performance. And although each school varies in its philosophy and implementation, they all exemplify the Eleven Principles of Effective Character Education, CEP’s framework for effective practice. The publication provides ideas for schools and districts seeking to improve their initiatives. Download Publication. |
