Located midway between New York City and Philadelphia, Hamilton Township School District is comprised of 24 schools (3 high schools, 3 middle schools, 17 elementary schools, and 1 school for special education students) and an alternative high school program. The largest employer in New Jersey’s Mercer County, Hamilton has been educating the community’s children for over 100 years. The district’s character initiative began in 1990, when one of its elementary schools, Kuser, adopted the goal of achieving harmonious respectful relationships among all groups within the school community in response to a rise in minor disciplinary referrals.
