Characterized by a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Ashland High School has created a caring community where students do the right thing and care about one another and their community. Through a commitment to the “Three R’s”—respect, responsibility, and readiness—and the implementation of the Ohio Integrated Systems Model, a precursor to Response to Intervention (RTI) promoted by the Ohio Department of Education through a federal grant, the school has fostered caring relationships among students and staff, resulting in improved student behavior.
