Each day, cars from 35 communities within the Denver and Boulder suburbs drop off and pick up students at Peak to Peak. Because the school draws students from a wide area, the school intentionally works to build community. Student mentoring programs, for example, match older students with younger ones, and regular assemblies are designed to unite and motivate the community around common language and values. Teachers at this high performing school work hard to highlight character traits in the curriculum, and students mention the frequent in-class discussions of current events, historical characters, and difficult moral dilemmas.
