"Triple A" Award
The Triple A Award develops students' self motivation. Triple A stands for Academics, Attitude and Attendance. The Triple A Award was developed in 2006. It was developed to replace the Honor Roll at the fourth grade level at Cedar Springs Elementary. Students receive a custom-made Triple A ribbon and are honored at the quarterly awards ceremony. Their names are published in the school’s newsletter. The original Honor Roll awarded students with an A or B average in academic grades. The traditional Honor Roll did not ‘honor” students' true individual effort put forth in school. Some students can put forth very little effort and be on the Honor Roll where other students can put forth tremendous effort and never reach the honor roll. The Triple “A” Award recognizes the “whole” student.
