Caring to Love Reading
Greenwood students in grades one and two and Crockett Middle School students in grades seven and eight have joined together six times over the last two years to share their love of reading. The Crockett students brought books to the Greenwood students that they read to them. The students then completed reading activities together to enhance reading comprehension.  Both sets of students developed respect for each other and an increased enthusiasm for reading. The middle school students showed responsibility and a caring attitude when preparing and then reading to their buddies. The culminating activity was having the Greenwood students visit Crockett’s Media Center for a reading celebration.
