The Virtue Game
The VirtueGame is a self-driven way for kids to learn about compassion, respect, enthusiasm, trust, friendliness, determination, responsibility, thankfulness, integrity, and cooperation. It presents virtues with humor and lightheartedness and lets kids discover what they mean for themselves - by experiencing them with friends. The VirtueGame is designed to keep players engaged and active – whether they are trying to accomplish their own tasks or help someone else.  Kids love the chance to clown around, and the VirtueGame makes it funny, positive, and meaningful. The card tasks are what make the VirtueGame fun.  How do you practice cooperation?  Name a soccer team together. How do you practice thankfulness?  Hold your breath as long as you can, and feel how thankful you are to breathe again. Each card illustrates a virtue by giving the player an engaging activity that allows them to feel and practice that virtue. The physical nature of the game makes it silly and fun, while at the same time helping to make virtues more concrete and definable. Players complete the tasks to earn each virtue on their chart, and the first player to fill their chart wins. The game is for 2-6 players, ages 8+ (or 5+ with reading assistance).
