Veterans Celebration
The students of Ridgewood Middle School's National Junior Honor Society plan and implement a celebration to honor the veterans in the community. The students plan a breakfast, an assembly, and lesson plans for every subject area to be taught in this full day event. Veterans are escorted through the halls of Ridgewood on the "Walk of Honor."  Patriotic music fills the halls, students and staff wave American flags, and applaud them as they walk to the assembly to celebrate their bravery and service to our country. The veterans are also invited to stay for the entire day to take part in the lessons and activities if they wish.
