Character and School Culture on a Wiki
Beverly cluster students are excited to be creating a wiki that will allow them to share the culture of their school. They are selecting photos that most closely identify the traits that they think impact a particular culture, and Ms. Jones’ students elected to create a wiki to show Beverly School’s culture. This engaging interactive curriculum about culture involves using computer skills and higher level thinking to determine what culture to address, what material will be most effective in communicating the culture and what impacts that culture. You can clearly see the influence of character education on this product. They chose to show posters and photos that demonstrate the influence of the focus on character. The artifacts they recorded include the posters about “Using Paws, not Claws,” the Beverly Bobcat Good Character Pledge, and the poster that shows our character education journey. The students included the photos that clearly show that character education is obviously an aspect of Beverly School that they take pride in. They chose it to be the global project that they are sharing with students in England.
