Principal Advisory Committee
The Principal’s Advisory Committee (PAC) is a group of fourth and fifth grade students that meet with the principal on a monthly basis. Their purpose is to provide a direct student voice on current school issues to the administration to encourage positive changes. Each month, two different students are selected from each homeroom to be the class representatives at PAC. These students are not a member of Character Council or Safety Patrol, in order to provide leadership opportunities to more students. The counselor meets with each 4th and 5th grade class for a monthly class meeting on a relevant and specific issue. The representatives take notes on the class meeting to report at PAC, with the guidance of the counselor. Each month, a different topic is discussed such as bullying, cafeteria food, or ways to include and welcome students at CPE. The students then take their notes to the PAC meeting in the school’s conference room and have a chance to share their class’ thoughts on the topic of the month. The principal makes copies of the notes to discuss with the appropriate and necessary outlets to implement the changes discussed.
