Character Education Night
At Jessup Elementary School, character education night has been implemented by the school staff, students, and parents working together to create a unified effort to bring the common language of "character" to the community. The rationale for this program was that if parents and school faculty worked together on character education it would have a much stronger impact than if either tried to do it alone.The goal was to significantly increase parent involvement in the school by obtaining their participation.The night was a time to bring families together to experience the euphoria of the elements of character in an interactive medium. The school communicated the message through the opening program to the interactive stations as a catalyst in engaging character. The program will be a yearly event.
