
Learning Values Through Managing Cooperative Store
A simulation of a small enterprise inside the school is the basis of this project. This enterprise is called “School Cafeteria,” where all students eat during their time off (break). The objective of the project is to give students a general overview of small and medium enterprise: organizing, working and attending customers (students) in the school cafeteria. The group is divided into teams. Each team will perform different kinds of activities inside the cafeteria, which include the following areas: Finances, Production, Vigilance and Cleanliness. The experience helps students practice their skills, attitudes and values, and learn to work successfully as a team. They also develop the desire to become successful entrepreneurs. The school links this activity with its Entrepreneurship class, (and there is a specific value to complement the grade of the subject.)
