Care Team
The West Muskingum Care Team has become a strong advocate for students at the schools. Every Wednesday and Thursday morning at 7 AM , the school comes together to help students overcome non-academic barriers. Students may be referred to the Care Team by their parents, a staff member, a teacher, a classmate, or they may refer themselves to the program. In addition to an administrator, a guidance counselor, teachers, character coach and a parapro from WMHS, the Care Team is comprised of the diverse community partners: Muskingum County Board of Mental Health: Muskingum Behavioral Health, Six County Inc., Muskingum County Children’s Services, Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department, Muskingum County Juvenile Court, Muskingum County Sheriff’s Department, Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center, Attendance Office, Muskingum County Care Team, and many other community resources. The school believes that chances are high, when working together, to make a difference for those who need help.
