Increase the Peace Flags
Our Peace Flags have “Increase the Peace” sewn on them. There is a flag hanging in the hallway of each House (small learning community). They are prominently hung outside of each House office. This is a visual reminder for students to interact and resolve conflict in a peaceful manner. When an incident of aggression does happen between two students in a House, the flag comes down for the day and returned the next day by the offenders when possible. We also have an outdoor Peace Flag displayed in the courtyard of the middle school as a constant reminder to the community of the importance of peaceful behavior.
