Student Community Outreach Program
The students at C.S. Lewis Academy look forward to their SCOP day each quarter. SCOP Stands for Student Community Outreach Project. Four times each year the high school students spend the entire day serving their community through a variety of activities. Whether they are serving lunch at a rescue mission, raking leaves for a shut-in, collecting food for a food bank, or building with Habitat for Humanity, our students experience what it means to serve others. As students mature, we ask them to consider serving on one of our cross-cultural trips to further stretch their experience and impact. We have sent students to Mexico, The Bahamas, Antigua, and Belize to serve other students and communities in a variety of ways. Many times we hear from our alumni that it was these experiences that had the greatest impact in shaping their character while attending C.S. Lewis Academy.
