Make a Difference Day
The "Make a Difference" project is an intensive, year-long project in which Character Council and Teen Leader students focus on a person or organization of their choice that has made a positive difference in the world. The goal is by learning about people who make a difference, students will then start making a difference on their own and encourage others to do the same. At the end of the year, an entire day is devoted to showcase their projects. Students invite representatives from their community service organizations, the community, parents, the school staff, and FMS students to attend. On Make a Difference Day, students showcase their visual presentations and inform others about the organization that they choose. They tell all the guests about how they can help out the organization, if they are interested.
