Daring Drama
Daring Drama is an integrated afterschool curriculum for Kindergarten through 8th grade students at Hoboken Charter School (HCS). The goal is to challenge students to reflect upon their lives and roles within society through the performing arts. Although students view the class as fun and engaging, strong messages of cooperation, respect, tolerance, and community building are interwoven into this inter-disciplinary afterschool practice. In this class, students explore character virtues of acceptance, tolerance, respect, responsibility (particularly for others), caring, and hard work while exploring dramatic methods and reinforcing academic skills and content.
