Hope Dolls and Bedding for Babies
The third grade students decided that they needed to help the children that were affected by the tsunami in Japan that occurred on March 11, 2011. The children decided that they would make their own "hope dolls" and "bedding for babies" that would stand as a representation of the Japanese children’s need for warmth and to serve as a reminder that there are children around the world that care about them. The students wrote quotes of inspiration on the blankets to serve as a reminder to everyone that there is always hope through difficult times and someone who cares about you.
