School-Wide Character Assemblies
We are a K-8 and have successfully planned and executed school-wide character assemblies to showcase excellent character. One student from each class is recognized for displaying good character. The student is awarded a certificate with a description as to why they were chosen to receive that acknowledgement. Additionally, a guest speaker is invited to each assembly to share anecdotes and advice with the students about why having good character is important in “real” life. Some of our guest speakers include local city commissioners, a representative from a food bank and local law enforcement.
