Building Inner Wealth with Staff
Building inner wealth with our entire staff is the focus of this practice. We have identified and carried out a way to reach every staff member at Jefferson School. During a monthly staff meeting, paper gifts or valentines in the form of a present are displayed with an individual's name on it. In addition to these gifts, each person at the meeting receives the names of three faculty members on labels. Everyone writes one thing about the person on the labels they receive. It can be a character trait they admire, a positive moment they remember, or just a funny story they shared. The opportunities are endless. When finished, the labels are attached to each gift. After the meeting, the gifts are given to the individuals. Throughout the year, different staff members are selected until everyone has received a gift with three inner wealth building comments wrapped inside. This practice includes every staff member associated with Jefferson School, from cafeteria workers to our custodians and everyone in-between. The preparation is minimal. All you need is some wrapping paper, sticky labels, and oodles of positive inner wealth building comments.
