Cardinal Countdown 3, 2, 1!
“3, 2, 1, READY!” is our school’s rallying cry that in an instant, reminds our students of the Cardinal Code. The Cardinal Code encompasses our high expectations for our students, our pledge to respect and care about each other, and a code of conduct. Everyone at Lawrence Middle School is expected to be respectful, responsible and ready. This is the Cardinal Code. The three elements of the code provide common expectations and understandings that are applied throughout the school, including in the cafeteria, auditorium, hallways, classrooms, bathrooms, and locker rooms. An introduction was presented during our grade level assemblies at the beginning of the year. During the first week of school, every student learned the Cardinal Code and the instructional event ended with a celebratory picnic. The week’s events fostered a community of caring and instilled pride in our students and staff. Our Cardinal Code is reinforced daily at LMS. Posters and showcases display the three R’s and continue to remind students of our school expectations and core values. We have all truly embraced what it means to honor the Cardinal Code and to be an LMS Cardinal.
