“Got Character!” Newsletter
The “Got Character!” newsletter expands upon the character focus for each month by providing a definition or characteristics of the month’s character word as well as a developmentally appropriate definition with authentic examples to increase children’s understanding. The newsletter also includes monthly service projects which give families real-life opportunities to build character values. Each month we explain what our project is, the location of the collection box, item, or activity, and the beneficiaries. The newsletter also highlights various cross-curricular character ideas for teachers to implement in their classrooms. Some of the areas highlighted each month are art, social studies, literacy, music, math, science, construction and dramatic play.
