Mehlville's Sewing for Soldiers
Students in the Fundamentals of Sewing Class used donated fabric to cut out Scotty Dog patterns, making them into stuffed animals, and make lap-pads for a student's parent's battalion. In total 67 Scotty Dogs were sent to the battalion before Christmas. Students also made lap-pads for veterans as well. The students in the Fundamentals of Sewing class did the cutting, sewing, stuffing and marking when making the dogs and the lap-pads.
