Nature Trail Workdays
In the fall of 2008, the Selvidge community came together to answer a simple question: What do we do with 12+acres of land on the school property? The resounding answer was: build a Nature Trail! In one weekend the staff, students, parents, and community members of Selvidge Middle School worked to make that happen. Today more than 2,200 feet of trail has been cleared. Workout stations have been designed and built along the trail. Benches have been built. Scout projects have constructed outdoor classrooms and bridges. An outdoor pavilion/classroom has been built. Every school year the community comes back to maintain or add new items to the trail.
