Character Connection Class Contract
Our Character Connection Class focuses on team building, academic re-teach, class meetings and goal setting. The Character Connection Class Contract is used by students to set his or her own academic, attendance, and behavior goals quarterly. With the element of self-evaluation and reflection at the end of each quarter, it helps develop intrinsic motivation for the student. There are no extrinsic rewards associated with this practice. It is solely for the student to experience goal setting and self-evaluation. Each quarter they establish their goals, review them with their Character Connection Class teacher, and take the contract home to review with their parents. When it is time to self-evaluate (at the end of each quarter), the students rate their effort. It is a great opportunity for the students to reflect on how they are doing and what needs to improve.
