Uthoff’s Newest Viking Program
In the Newest Viking Program, the entire school works together to help our new students feel connected as soon as they enter our building. It begins when the family comes to register. The school counselors give a tour to help alleviate any concerns. The parents fill out a form to work with a current buddy family. Students are welcomed to Uthoff by getting an “Uthoff’s Newest Viking” sticker to let everyone know it’s their first day, allowing everyone to welcome them. They are also given a “Welcome Bag” filled with UV items. Each Viking is assigned a buddy in their class to help them transition throughout the coming days.
