F.R.O.G.S.
The F.R.O.G.S. (Fathers Representing Our Great Students) program of Alcoa Elementary School in Tennessee invites father-figures (dads, grandfathers, uncles, step-dads, big brothers, etc) to volunteer at their child's school in serving at least one day for the year in a variety of school activities. Many of the activities include helping with kindergarten specials class (art, music, PE, etc.), picking up trash around the perimeter of the school, interacting with kids during lunch/recess and providing extra help for the teacher in his or her child/student's room. Most of the time is spent with the FROGS child/student but is not limited to helping their classmates and others throughout the school day.
