Monthly Student Led Bully Prevention Lunch
During the lunch period, 6th grade students are given the opportunity to participate monthly in interactive discussions or activities regarding ways to prevent bullying and how to promote a safe and welcoming environment in school. These lunch periods are student led, which allows for an open and honest discussion about the issue. Students learn appropriate responses to bullying and a common language for preventing bullying as well as having fun activities, such as making slogans for anti-bullying. A student leader is selected by his/her teachers and is representative of the middle school student population.
