Tribute to Heroes: Remembering 9/11
Bernard Middle School hosted its inaugural first responders/tribute to heroes luncheon. Firefighters, police officers, and military service men and women were honored for their bravery and courage in times of distress. Student Council members were able to reach out and show gratitude toward local heroes. Students were able to give back to these men and women by making cards of gratitude and serving them lunch. This opportunity was an excellent way for students to show respect to community leaders and acknowlege the importance of their role in our society.
