Grandparents' Luau
Second Grade students at Brennan Woods Elementary invite their grandparents to a luau held at school every September. Many fun activities are planned for the children to take part in with their grandparents. Grandparents also have the opportunity to see items that their grandchildren have created. The luau is planned by the second grade teachers. Students take part in writing and science activities in class prior to, as well as after the luau, as the teachers have designed it in such a way that it is connected with the curriculum.
