"Character Is...."
These posters feature photographs of each Clarendon student taken at our school. Every colorful, laminated poster (13x19) includes a different inspirational phrase promoting character education and is unique in its own way. The sayings incorporate character awareness, the Six Pillars, quotes, and Anti-Bullying messages. The students are inundated with posters hanging throughout the entire school. While being photographed students were randomly chosen for the groupings, therefore creating class unity and discouraging favoritism. The teachers are using the posters to promote character education discussions in the classroom. In a contest to be held later this year, students will be strongly encouraged to create their own motivating messages. The winners will receive a copy of the poster with their photo and the winning inspirational phrase. These posters have now become a fixture in our school. All incoming students will be added to the ongoing program. Students are displaying empathy toward their peers and are using the quotes in their everyday conversations.
