Eureka Friday Friends (EFF)
Eureka High School's staff Equity Team, in an effort to improve relationships among its students from diverse backgrounds, started a monthly program called Eureka Friday Friends (EFF) that invites students of color who participate in the Voluntary Transfer Program (VTS) to spend their lunch breaks eating and conversing with resident county students. All students in the VTS program are encouraged to attend; their "ticket" into the activity is to bring students who live in the county. Over lunch, students engage in discussion starters that range from what do in the city and county to family traditions at Christmas and during Black History Month.
