Franklin Families
We have created a caring school community through the belief that we are a Family. Franklin Families were created in order to promote interaction outside of the regular education classroom in cross-age groups with adults who the students may not have traditionally interacted with. Franklin Families meet weekly every Friday before the week ends. Even if students have had a particularly good week, they are still able to meet with their Franklin Family and a variety of activities are encouraged within this time period in order to foster relationships among the students and their adult leaders. The main focus behind Franklin Families is to connect and celebrate accomplishments and relationships among students and adults throughout the building. A variety of adults within the building lead these Franklin Families, including the teachers, support staff, and principal.
