
The Depth of Character Data and IAESM Rocket Pride
IAESM regularly assesses culture and climate, the functioning of our staff as character educators, and the extent to which students manifest good character. This is a key component in the process used by our Character Education Committee (CEC) to focus our character development work. We use anonymous student, staff and family surveys to collect data in the assessment. Surveys are produced by Imagine Schools. These surveys are administered annually to students, staff and families. Imagine Schools National staff compiles the data to analyze. We also obtain information about our school culture and climate by conducing focus groups with our student leaders and PTO leaders. Our CEC uses the focus group information to provide a personal perspective. The data is carefully considered in the development of goals and the selection of strategies for each school year.
