Teens Teaching Teens Teaches Character
Teens Teaching Teens or 3 Ts, a year-long peer education-based class, decided to carry out a school district initiative and tackle teaching the character education program themselves. Six character traits were chosen at the beginning of the school year. The traits were chosen based on student and teacher input as to what was thought to be the biggest character issues our students struggle with. Students developed three lessons on each trait for a total of 18 lessons. Eleven 3Ts students taught each lesson during a twenty-eight minute homeroom period to four homerooms approximately twice a month.
