Student Champion Team
Mountainville Academy has developed a way for EVERY student to have feedback into our character education program and also an opportunity for each student to have a positive experience with our school director. At least once each month, our school director, Mrs. Bullock, hosts a Champion Team Meeting. During this meeting students discuss issues happening at school, ways that they can be leaders, and provide feedbacks to our director about how things are going and also make suggestions for improvements. The Champion Team Meeting is comprised of student representatives from ALL grade groups, kindergarten through 9th grade. Each student at our school is invited to attend a champion team meeting once per year. In this way, every student at the school has an opportunity to provide inputs and feedback to the school director. Additionally, students from different grade groups interact with each other and see how decisions made may impact younger and older students differently. Information from this meeting is carried to the Lighthouse Team, our character program leadership team, and used to improve our character education program.
