Pembroke School Family Groups
Pembroke Elementary School is a community of "school families". Each K-5 student in our school is assigned to a school family group and students remain in the same groups through their fifth grade year. Each family has a character trait based family name and motto and will soon be developing their visual touchstone. The purpose of school family groups is to build community within our school, for students to experience learning in a multi-age environment, to create mentoring opportunities for older students and to further integrate character education into everything we do. Character education lessons are integrated into school family meetings which are held throughout the year.
