The Pond Promise: Show Us Your True Colors
We gathered former Pond faculty and staff members, district administrators and supporters, community members, volunteers and the entire Pond family as we took the opportunity to look at how far we've come: from a small, rural school to our current status as an award-winning suburban school. Alan Kay, a computer futurist and former Apple Computer fellow once said, "The best way to predict the future is to invent it." As we looked at our accomplishments and celebrated our successes, we also took the opportunity to look at where we want to go as we invent the future of education by helping each and every student reach their fullest potential. The program featured a former principal, Mrs. Clare Maguire, who helped us look back at our previous success. Our current principal, Mr. Diaz-Granados, gave us the opportunity to celebrate our current success and show our true colors, and we rallied around our goal to realize "The Pond Promise" as we invent the future one student at a time.
