Speak Up!
At Riverbend School, we utilize Speak Up! forms. These communication sheets allow the students to communicate effectively with the principal, counselor, or their Character Connection Class teacher about bullying, peer conflicts, and/or celebrations. There are Speak Up! stations located around the school for students to discreetly complete a form when they have a concern or something to share. Celebrations and peer conflicts are shared with the CC teacher to be put on the agenda for discussion in class meetings. Students place the completed Speak Up! forms in a box for anonymity. Our CC coordinator (staff member) checks the boxes daily and collects any forms submitted. Then, she distributes the forms to the appropriate parties. From there, it is addressed with the principal, counselor, or class meeting.
