Synergy & Leadership Exchange congratulates Orono Public Schools on being named a 2013 Minnesota School District of Character! Orono’s focus on character development has had a positive impact on academic achievement, student behavior, and school climate throughout the district. They will be recognized for this accomplishment at a celebration in the state capitol in May.
Synergy & Leadership Exchange accepts applications from public and private schools and districts throughout the state of Minnesota for the State Schools of Character (SSOC) program. Minnesota Promising Practices
Synergy & Leadership Exchange (Synergy) in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and as part of the Minnesota Schools of Character & Promising Practices Awards Programs, want to recognize schools in Minnesota that have developed and implemented a specific practice that promotes character development in their schools. These practices must be: specific, unique and transferable, provide measurable results and impact, and encompass at least one of the Character Education Partnership’s (CEP’s) eleven principles.
All promising practice applications must be submitted electronically to Synergy for state consideration and to CEP for national consideration by the March deadlines. Please visit our website for details: www.synergyexchange.org and send us your promising practices in character education today.
