Call to Character

CEP marked its 10th anniversary by launching a long-term public awareness/fundraising campaign to bring business to the forefront of the character education movement.  CEP's strategy is to rally business leaders to champion character education within their companies and to make the local call to character within the schools in their communities.

To maximize the reach and impact of the National Call to Character, then CEP Chair Sandy McDonnell, along with members of CEP's Board and National Leadership Council, asked peers to sign a Call to Action and stand with CEP to:

  • Bring visibility to the National Call to Character
  • Leverage corporate marketing resources to promote the National Call to Character
  • Guide the message to accurately reflect the business perspective
  • Provide strong financial support to CEP
  • Advise CEP on products that would best support their education and civic responsibility initiatives

CEOs that "answer the call" and stand up for character education will learn from CEP how their companies can be leaders in their communities and bring proven, quality character education programs to their schools and help prepare all students to become honest, responsible, parents, employees and citizens.
