National Schools of Character (NSOC) Awards

Once selected, CEP helps these schools and districts serve as models for other educators. Learn more about this prestigious national awards program!

State Schools of Character (SSOC) Awards

Some states are conducting State Schools of Character competitions as a preliminary step to advancing to the NSOC Awards.  Learn more about the states that participated in 2007 or how to get your state involved in 2008.

Promising Practices Awards

Each year, CEP gives Promising Practices Awards to schools and districts for implementing unique and specific strategies in character education that others may learn from and even replicate. 2007 applications were due March 15. Learn how to apply.

The National Schools of Character awards program is made possible through the generous support of the John Templeton Foundation and the UAW-GM  Center for Human Resources.
